This year’s primary focus is Emilia, the wine region between Piemonte and Tuscany. This region has been known for generations by the wine community as producing some of the finest vintages in the world. However, because the wine making practices are largely internally controlled to preserve quality, these wines have been difficult to obtain outside the European theatre. Similarities of terroir, varietals and open minded people make the region a perfect one for Texans to partner with.
